LaCasse Baseball Diamond upgrades

It certainly is a different view today at my daughter’s bus stop!

Construction has begun on the new $3.4million upgrade to the infamous baseball diamond at Tecumseh’s LaCasse Park. Approved in April 2022, the exciting re-design will see increased seating capacity, perfect for hosting the upcoming 2024 Baseball Canada’s Men’s Championship. We’ll also have a training facility, a new backstop, upgraded amenities like washrooms and concessions, and a new entrance.

With the welcoming of new things, always comes a grateful nod to the past like watching these old bleachers come down.

(Thanks to LaCasse Park walkers & St. Pius families for your patience with the temporary barriers while we complete these projects.)

I’m excited to watch this project grow in its stages while I walk our neighbourhood. With thanks to our partners in the federal government, and our local Tecumseh Thunder Baseball Club, and St. Clair College for their contributions to bringing this community gem the shine it deserves. More updates to come!
